The Vatnajökull Glacier Expedition a 9 day tour on Cross Country Skis is featured this month in the popular German magazine SkiMagazin. Journalist Gunter Kast joined us on our last expedition and wrote a 5 page article about his experience on the glacier.
Gunter describes how the devaluation of the Icelandic currency has made everything from drinking beer in Reykjavik to joining glacier expeditions affordable. He also describes the steam from the hissing Grímsvötn volcano and the awarding volcanic steam bath in the isolated hut on the middle of the largest glacier in Europe.
