Departures: May 15th - Sept 15th: Everyday at 9:30 and 15:30, June 15th - Aug 31st:- Every day at 9:30, 10:30, 13:00*, 15:30 and 16:30, Feb 1st - May 15th and Sept 16th - Nov 30th: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 15:30

Duration: 2hrs in total, 1 to 1 ½ hrs on the ice

Pick up: Parking area in front of Sólheimajökull glacier

We provide: Guiding services, ice gear (crampons and Ice axes) and safety equipment.

You bring: Warm clothing, rain gear and good shoes

This easy and safe glacier walk for those who want to get a glimpse of the breathtaking Sólheimajökull glacier, and its surroundings.

The tour focuses on the exploration of water cauldrons, waterways and other ice features of the glacier where we will experience the different shades of the glaciers, white ice, blue ice and just plain clear ice. Before setting out on to the glacier the glacier guide will teach you how to use the basic glacier equipment, crampons and ice axes, required for this tour. Suitable for everybody (min age 8 years).
