An extended weekend of some of the best Ice-Climbing on the planet. This four day trip is designed for those able to climb on their own, but interested in benefitting from the local knowledge of our Ice-Climbing experts.
Semi-guided means that your guide will not climb with, or oversee the climbing of all members of the group – he will take you to the best spots, introduce you to the best climbs (or possibly to some first-ascents) and over all make sure you get the very best out of your climbing holiday in the land of Fire and Ice, but the climbing adventure is fully yours!

As this is the low-season we are able to chase the best weather and best Ice to every corner of the country. We will stay in sleeping bag accommodation and the team comes together at the end of the day to cook good food, share stories and plan upcoming adventures.
Your guide for this trip will be Ívar F. Finnbogason who has done dozens of first ascents in Iceland, including two of the country's hardest alpine climbs. Ívar ranks as one of the country's ice-climbing experts with over 17 years of climbing under his belt.

Sólheimajökull Ice Climbing

Hello, I participated in the Solheimajokull Glacier Climb back in October 2004. Your guide, Ivar, was fantastic; and, I now refer to that day as the ONE which got me hooked on climbing. I have since been ice climbing in Colorado on two separate occasions, and I also took up rock climbing which is more indigenous to California (where I live).
