Day 2: Apusiaajik Island:Today´s skiing takes us over the pack ice to the Apusiaajik Island. We will pull our baggage on pulkas, strong plastic sleds. On the way we can enjoy the magnificent icebergs trapped in the pack ice. Once on the island we ski up on to an easy glacier reaching a height of 300 meters and continue northwards along a landscape dotted with 900 m. granite peaks. That night we put up our camp at the foot of one of these peaks where the view to the mainland, as well as the smaller surrounding islands is certainly stunning. This is definitely a unique skiing area and a memorable day. Night in a tent.
Skiing: ~5 – 6 hrs.
Day 3: Apusiaajik Island North coast:We ski through a small mountain pass and over a lake to arrive to a fjord on the north side of the island. After climbing a small hill we get a fantastic view towards an endless number of mountains towards the north. Continuing on we cross the fjord on the pack ice, passing 2 small islands with mountains going 700 m straight up from the sea, before putting up our camp on yet another small island. Night in tent.
Skiing: ~6-7hrs.
Day 4: Tiniteqilaaq island:We cross the Apusiaajik glacier to the North East at the foot of several small peaks and with a fantastic view towards Kulusuk island. A number of steep Nunataks (peaks coming up through the ice) come up through the glacier and decorate our route so the landscape around us is ever changing. We slowly ski up the slopes to a high point of the glacier in about 600 m, where we get a fabulous view to the north as well as East. We get a nice and smooth slide back into camp. Night in tent.
Skiing: ~5-7hrs.
Day 5: Apusiaajik Island East coast:
We ski over the pack ice in front of the front of Apusiaajik glacier and then head to the most eastern part of the Island where a narrow fjord cuts in to the granite hills, from the East. We climb the hills to a view point on this east part of the island before sliding back to sea level. Heading back to camp we cross a few small hills and if we are lucky we might catch a glimpse of an arctic fox or a ptarmigan.
Day 6: Torsukattak fjord:The day starts with the passage of the col just west of our camp. We then turn south and following the narrow Torsukattak fjord we come to the edge of the pack ice on the great Ammassalik fjord. We no cross the pack ice to Kulusuk, following the tracks of dog sleds. Arriving to Kulusuk in the late afternoon, we enjoy a good shower and a great meal at the hostel.

Day 7: Kulusuk - Cap Dan:Today´s skiing takes us across the island of Kulusuk, south to the headland of Cap Dan. On this lonely outpost the US operated a radar station until the early eighties. The views are magnificent. The endless pack ice stretches out in front of us, dotted with icebergs, islands and a multitude of granite peaks sticking out of the snowscape like sentinels. Night at hostel.
Skiing: ~5-6hrs.
