-Equipment list for Ski mountaineering / Alpine Touring trips
Boots and Clothing:
Long sleeve shirt (thermal underwear) – Wool or synthetic.
Long Johns (thermal underwear) – Wool or synthetic.
Light wool sweater or fleece (2nd layer).
Warm Jacket – Wool or fleece (3rd layer).
Trousers (2nd layer) – Strong and light material that dries quickly. Wind resistant and water repelling 
     preferable.
Rain Jacket or an Anorak with hood – Waterproof and breathable material. Gore-Tex or equivalents are 
     preferable.
Rain trousers – Waterproof and breathable material.
Finger Gloves – Wool or synthetic (polypropylene / polyester).
Mittens – Wool or synthetic.
Over Mittens of waterproof material (Gore-Tex or alternative).
Socks – Wool or synthetic.
Hat and a Balaclava – Wool or synthetic.

Other gear:
Sleeping Bag – Down or fiber. Aim for light weight and warm bag. Goose down with high “fills power” or top of the line synthetic bags are recommended. You will need one rated with comfort level down to -25°C or colder.
Insulation mattresses - a foam mattress and a light weight air mattresses.
Seating system - to make a seat of your air mattress
Tent shoes  - used in the eavening to go out from the tent.
Parka – Down or synthetic jacket.
Backpack – 35-45 liters for extra clothes and food during the day.
A travel sack (Duffel bag) for your baggage.
Pocketknife.
Smal personal first aid kit
Water Bottles with capasity of 2 liters
Thermos botle: 1 liter.
Sunglasses – Big enough to cover the eyes and with sufficient UV-protection.
Ski Goggles.
Sun Protection.
Gaiters (optional) – Calf or knee height and wide enough for the boots.
Camera equipment – Incl. spare batteries, memory card and/or films.
Toothbrush, ear pluggs and other personal things.
Avalanche beacon.
Shovel.
Avalanche probe.
Harness
Crampons fitting to your ski-boots
Ice axe

Ski equipment:
Alpine Touring Skis or Telemark Skis with strong and lightweight bindings and associated crampons.
Ski Boots or Telemark Boots
Skins (AT Skins) – Properly glued and big enough to cover the skis length and width.
Extra glue (adhesive) for ski-skins.
Ski poles of the strongest type.
 
Note: All non waterproof gear should be wrapped in plastic bags before packing it in the backpack.
