Halldór Albertsson

Position: Glacier-Guide Hard Ice Level II + Mountain Skills PRO.

Education: Dóri is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the Reykjavik University. He got his basic mountaineering training from the Icelandic Rescue teams where he also served as the leader of the Mountain Rescue group. Dóri has a valid Wilderness First Responder qualification and has done the IMG Avalanche PRO course and an extensive rope rescue course (Rigging for Rescue). Dóri has a professional driver’s license.

Specialization: The first quality every one notices with Dóri is his outgoing personality and his great personal skills. He is also an exhalent ice-climber and a teacher and will frequently teach on climbing and mountaineering courses for both the public as well as for new IMG guides. Dóri also guides on longer tours where both his personal skills and his mountaineering skills come into play.
