It all started in 1986

With our first entry into the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986, we were going to take the competition by storm. Without a doubt, the Icelandic song Gleðibankinn was the best, and we were going to win.

We didn't.

The song was pretty good though, and as you can see in the video below, the performance was epic!

Victory in 2020

For the 2020 event in Rotterdam, we had the perfect song lined up called Think about Things by Daði og Gagnamagnið. Even better, Eurovision bookies worldwide agreed, and many predicted that Iceland would finally win the contest.

Well, we didn't win, but neither did anyone else, as the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 was canceled for reasons that we know all too well.

We may not have won on the big stage in Rotterdam, but instead, Daði og Gagnamagnið won the internet. The music video went viral and Think about Things has been streamed just under 80 million times on Spotify.

A second chance

With all the success last year, Daði og Gagnamagnið are back with a brand new song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. It is called 10 Years and we are pretty happy with it.

Will this be our year? What do you think?
