    Multi-Activity Package from Reykjavík

    Start off a three-day tour package by bathing in a naturally warm river, then hike across Sólheimajökull glacier. On your second day, a jeep will take you to Landmannalaugar to see a lava field and geothermalhot springs at the foot of the Hekla volcano. Finish your adventure with a whale watching tour along the southern coast of Iceland.

    Included: 3 days of activities: day tour “Walk through Ice and Fire”, Super Jeep day tour “Hekla Volcano and Landmannalaugar” and a Whale Watching tour. Accommodation in Reykjavík in hostel, guest house, hotel or luxury hotel for 4 nights.

  • Tour Itinerary

    Day 0: Arrival at your accommodation in Reykjavík. Night in Reykjavík.

    Day 1: Glacier Walk and Hot Spring hike
    Pick up from 8:30 at your accommodation for the day tour “Walk through Ice and Fire”. This is a tour that combines two of Iceland’s natural highlights, hot springs and glaciers! Beginning with a hike at the Hengill geothermal area to Reykjadalur where you’ll see different types of hot springs and can enjoy a bath in a beautiful warm stream. Next we head to the famous waterfalls of the south  Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss before we go on to Sólheimajökull. There you’ll for a short and easy glacier walk and discover the different formation of the glacier. Great day out in nature!
    Duration: 11-12 hours, 5-6 hours active.

    Day 2: Super Jeep tour to the highlands-Hekla Volcano and Landmannalaugar
    Early pick up (from 8:00) to the famous volcano Hekla and the Landmannalaugar in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve. We start at Hekla and climb up to around 1000 meters for a great view of the surroundings. Crossing magnificent lava fields covered with green moss we come to Landmannalaugar. There you can go for a short hike in the yellow and green rhyolite hills and across the lava and finish our day in the highlands with a nice bath in a natural warm stream.  Great tour to a land of unreal beauty and contrast.
    Duration: 12 hours.

    Day 3: Whale watching and free time Reykjavík
    Pick up from your accommodation to Reykjavík harbour for your Whale Watching tour out of Reykjavík. The summer is the time when the life in Faxafloi bay is at its best and minke whale are at their most abundant. After the whale watching tour you have time on your own to wander around Reykjavík and enjoy its streets, shops cafés and museums.
    Duration of whale watching tour : 2,5-3,5 hours.

    Please note that the order of the day tours may change depending on which day of the week you start the package. On some days the whale watching tour will be in the afternoon.

    Boots and Clothing:

    • Hiking Boots – The boots should be of leather (or leather and synthetic) with high cut to give sufficient ankle support. Preferably the sole should be soft but robust. Gore-Tex or alternative waterproof membrane is a preferable extra.
    • Long sleeve shirt (thermal underwear) – Wool or synthetic.
    • Rain Jacket or an Anorak with hood – Preferably waterproof and breathable material (Gore-Tex or equivalents).
    • Rain trousers – Waterproof and breathable material.
    • Mittens – Wool or synthetic (optionally waterproof) (two pairs if no Liner Gloves).
    • Hat or Balaclava – Wool or synthetic. 

    Other gear:

    • Backpack for rain clothes during walks
    • A travel sack/suitcase for your baggage 
    • Toothbrush
    • Sunglasses – Big enough to cover the eyes and with sufficient UV-protection. 
    • Sun protection.
