Grímur hails from Ísafjörður, Iceland and has a passion for the backcountry and outdoors. He is a carpenter, turned salesman, turned mountain guide and has been a member of the IMG team since about 2012. He has been a part of Icelandic rescue teams and has a lot of mountain training, such as going through the New Zealand based assessment courses on hard ice. He also partakes in training the rescue team recruits in their mountaineering and rope handling skills. When he is not working, you can find him mountaineering, skiing, or fixing his house. His favorite place in Iceland is the West Fjords.
