What motivated you to visit Iceland?

Our trip to Iceland was a surprise to me! We got engaged the day before we left and my fiancé Sean then surprised me with our trip! I have wanted to visit Iceland for years so it was an easy decision to choose Iceland for our next trip.

How long was your stay? Did you travel solo or with a group?

We stayed for 9 days. I traveled with my fiancé.

Which tour did you take and why did you choose it?

We did the Sólheimajökull Glacier Walk. Glaciers are melting and who knows how long they will be around for, so getting to walk on this remarkable earth creation is truly epic.

Happy Hikers!

What is one thing you will always remember about your tour?

We got very lucky and were the only two that signed up for our tour time, so we got to explore more of the glacier and go off the main path. It was awesome, and totally unexpected, to explore more of the glacier and get this special tour!

What is something that you learned about Iceland that surprised you?

There are at least twice as many sheep as humans!

If you had more time in Iceland, what else would you like to see and do?

Sólheimajökull was the furthest South we went of the Island because we headed up to the Westfjords. If we had more time, I would love to see the rest of the island and complete the Ring Road. Jökulsárlón, the Glacier Lagoon, is one thing I would like to see, as well as the Northern lights! I would also like to visit Iceland when the Lupines bloom.

What tips do you have for people who want to visit Iceland?

Rent a car and drive! Iceland is a beautiful country and even if you’re driving for hours, you will constantly be in awe of the scenery. The beauty makes it easy to just drive. Your goal each day should be to find a hot pot (hot spring)!

If you describe your tour in two words, what would they be?

Breathtaking and informative

What adventure are you off to next? What is your next dream adventure?

Iceland has been at the top of my list and that’s been accomplished, so I need to think of our next adventure! I think next will be Slovenia or Italy to eat all the food! Oh and to plan a wedding :)
