  • Tour Description

Two day Ice-Climbing course at a beginner level.

Our two day Ice-Climbing course is designed to serve both those that have a serious interest in Ice-Climbing and those that just want two days of fun on the ice. On the course we cover the basics of rope work while allowing plenty of time to climb on different walls and learning the right moves. All climbing equipment is included and accommodation is in a hotel – so you will just need to show up and we will take care of the rest. Accommodation in a local hotel, breakfast included and access to an affordable restaurant for the evening meal and a possibility to buy a lunch packet.

    No prior experience is required.

Since we are staying far from the lights of the city there is always a change to see northern lights.

  • Tour Itinerary

Day 1: We will pick you up at your hotel in Reykjavik at 08:00 and after a quick stop at our office for boot and crampon fitting we drive for aprox. two hours to the Sólheimajökull outlet glacier where we will spent the day working on climbing skills and rope work. After the day we head to a local hotel. The location far away from any bigger towns in ideal for nothern light – so if the sky is clear it is definetively worth while looking outside.

Day 2: After breakfast we move out and head back to the Sólheimajökull glacier. Some muscles are most likely sore after the first day so we mix the day up with rope work and perfecting our climbing technique. At the end of the day we jump back on the bus and head back to Reykjavik - where we should be at about 19:00.
