Elísabet Atladóttir

Elísabet

Elísabet is from Reykjavík and has lived there all her life, Laugardalur to be precise!

After having many indoor jobs, the idea of working outside and exploring nature and different parts of Iceland motivated her to become a guide. In fact, the year before she became a guide she was selling guided trips and in the morning when the guides were picking up their clients for the days adventures she often felt quite jealous! She started working with IMG in 2015 in summer in between studying geography at the University in Iceland.

She loves spending time outdoors, seeing great views, hiking, climbing, running, camping and almost everything that involves spending time in beautiful landscape. She also has an arty side and loves drawing, painting and photographing.

One of her favorite places in Iceland is her family's summerhouse in Þingvellir where she can get away from Reykjavik and relax. Skaftafell also has a special place in her heart with incredible landscape and high mountains.

Her professional qualifications/experience include:

  • Wilderness First Responder
  • Glacier Skills Level 3
  • Rescue team training
  • Polar training course
