Gunnar Ingi was born in Akureyri, North Iceland but has lived most of his life in Reykjavík. He has always loved the outdoors and thinks Iceland's glaciers and other nature is just amazing. Helping others to experience this gives him joy! Previous to joining IMG in 2017 he worked a lot with kids, inside and out of school spending two summers managing scout seminars teaching kids how to have fun in the outdoors. He lists climbing and photography among his interests and Hornstrandir is his favourite place in Iceland.
