Hallþór Jökull Hákonarson
Hallþór was born in Reykjavik and spent his childhood partly there, partly in Sweden and partly in Höfn East Iceland. He also spent a year in Costa Rica as an exchange student and speaks Swedish and Spanish in addition to Icelandic and English. He's always liked travelling and meeting people, and his interests include snowboarding, plants and herbs, hiking, cooking, art and politics. After a spell working on a supermarket meat counter, he decided to find something more in line with his interests and worked as a park ranger in Mývatn and Snæfellsnes National Park. Becoming a guide was the next step and after having worked and as a bus tour guide here in Iceland, he started working with IMG in April 2017. His favourite place in Iceland is an abandoned farm where his grandma grew up in the west fiords, named Eyri in Seyðisfjörður.
