Larn is originally from New Zealand and has also lived in Ireland, Holland, Greece and the UK before coming to Iceland in 2017. He decided to become a guide after a year long outdoor adventure study course, and thinks that being a guide is a great way to travel and experience other countries. Before joining IMG he worked for Fox Glacier guides in New Zealand for 2 years, in a high-wire adventure park, as a beekeeper and a labourer for stone masons in Greece. Unsurprisingly he lists learning new things and visiting new places as his favourite hobbies, along with climbing, hiking and camping.
