Anna needed to see as much of Iceland as as she could with her limited amount of time, and they loved the Golden Circle tour! Anna is our latest Adventurer of the Week. We love it when people celebrate occasions with us!

What motivated you to visit Iceland?

The trip was planned as a surprise for my husband’s birthday, I wanted to do something different and that he could tick it off his bucket list. The sights were incredible!

How long was your stay? Did you travel solo or with a group?

We stayed in Reykjavik for 4 nights, and it was just the 2 of us.

Which tour did you take and why did you choose it?

We did the glacier and Golden Circle and Northern lights tour. I wanted to see as many sights as possible in one day due to our short timeline.  We loved getting little tastes along the way of all the different things at all the different places like the Fríðheimar  geothermal farm!

If you had more time in Iceland, what else would you like to see and do?

See the northern lights (we missed out this time unfortunately) and the Blue Lagoon (both of which we had booked trips for but were unable to do due to a storm – itself an incredible experience!) We would also love to visit other parts of Iceland and see more of the amazing landscapes.

What tips do you have for people who want to visit Iceland?

Everywhere takes credit cards so don’t worry about exchanging cash, try as many different types of food as you can as the food is fantastic and if you are visiting in winter wrap up in warm waterproof layers!

What adventure are you off to next? What is your next dream adventure? 

We are still deciding on our next trip but whilst we definitely want to visit Iceland again we are also considering a trip to Norway, as our visit to Iceland has inspired us to visit colder climates rather than our usual beach holidays.
