Anna Guðrún has always had a lot of interest in travelling around Iceland, as well as Icelandic nature. She started working for Icelandic Mountain Guides (IMG) in 2016 and has been working there since, with breaks in between. Before she started working for IMG, she worked in tourism near Kirkjubæjarklaustur, where she got to know the South Coast very well through her work.

In her free time, Anna Guðrún strives to use every opportunity to get out of the city limits to enjoy nature. Music is also a big part of her life, and she has obtained a degree in operatic singing from a Conservatory abroad. She has participated in music-related activities ever since she was a child. On top of music, travelling and nature, Anna Guðrún usually has a project to work on with her knitting needles and enjoys drinking quality coffee with her friends. She also carries a degree in developmental therapy.

Anna Guðrún‘s favourite place in Iceland is Þórsmörk, but she has enjoyed a lot of moments there since she was only a few months old. The Hengill mountain range also attracts her strongly, and she goes there on a regular basis to hike in the area.
