Maddý was born and raised in the small town of Seyðisfjörður in East Iceland. She studied tourism in Paris where she  learned to speak French and she is the operation manager of our longer tours. She has a huge amount of experience in creating and organizing trips in Iceland but she has also spent 10 years of her life working for an NGO helping children in need in Africa.  Maddý has a great passion for the highlands and has been hiking across Iceland for the last 12 years.  

When Maddý is not answering requests or taking care of logistics at the office, you will most likely find her skiing or hiking in the mountains, singing with her choir or birdwatching with Óli, her ornithologist husband.
