Your tour begins at Litla Kaffistofan, where you’ll meet your guide, receive a safety briefing and get equipped with helmet and protective overalls. From there, you’ll head straight into the rugged terrain, leaving the city behind within minutes.

The route takes you across wide lava fields, into the Jósepsdalur valley and through landscapes shaped by volcanic activity and geothermal forces. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the area’s geology, energy production and local folklore.
